Utilizing  cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)  collected from living patients, the team has successfully linked disease-related proteins and genes to identify specific cellular pathways responsible for the onset and progression of the disease. This advancement marks a departure from traditional methods that relied on postmortem brain tissue or blood plasma, which are limited in providing a complete picture of Alzheimer’s progression.
